Synopsis: Judge Jim Scott (Fred MacMurray) faces a difficult decision when he has to sentence a murderer to hang despite the man’s law-disrespecting siblings who threaten the townfolk with violence.

Purr Blur: Early in the film Judge Scott walks into the General Store to pick up something from proprietor Silas Mordigan (Robert Foulk).  Mordigan walks to a roll up desk to get something from one of the cubby holes but has to pull a grey and white cat from the cubby first.  The cat can barely be seen during its brief moment onscreen.
