Synopsis: A poor girl named Angela (Janet Gaynor) runs afoul of the law and hides with a traveling circus, meeting a painter named Gino (Charles Farrell) on the road and falling in love.  But it isn’t long before her past catches up with her.

Purr Blur: After hurting herself, Angela and Gino return to Naples and are living poor but happily.  A group of street musicians passes by and a black cat can be seen on a rooftop nearby.

As Angela and Gino watch the procession, the cat can be seen outside their window.

Moments later Angela becomes fearful when she sees some policemen and things go downhill from there.
