Directed by: Stephen Roberts

Synopsis: Temple Drake (Miriam Hopkins) is a somewhat promiscuous and troubled rich girl who finds herself way in over her head when she ends up with a gang of criminals, one of whom makes it his business to have her body and soul.

Kitty Cameo: When Temple disappears the gossip runs rampant, most believing she has run away with one of her many beaus.  During a collection of scenes of people talking about the missing girl, we see a black cat sitting by a fence and a woman’s hand petting it as she gossips about how Temple ran away with only the dress she wore to the dance the night she disappeared.
