Synopsis: The first day of Spring brings love, misunderstandings and heartbreak to the British Hilton family.

Kitty Cameo: Near the beginning of the film Roger Hilton (Ian Hunter) gets out of bed and looks out the window.  He sees the neighbor’s long-haired cat Silky running through the garden.

Roger encourages the family dog Terry to chase after the cat, which takes off running.

The dog trees the cat as Roger shouts encouragement.  The girl next door named Joan is appalled to see the man encouraging the dog.

Later in the film the girl returns home to find the dog has once again treed her cat.

She pulls the dog away and takes it to the wall between the properties, calling out to the Hilton’s son, Martin (Peter Willes) to come get him.  She explains that Silky is due to have kittens and doesn’t need the stress.  Martin, who is infatuated with Jean, promises to keep the dog away.

Final Mewsings: Pregnant cats don’t have time for annoying dogs.
