Synopsis: A wandering troubador named Larry Poole (Bing Crosby) gets out of prison and delivers a promised message to a young girl named Patsy (Edith Fellows) and her grandfather (Donald Meek) which may change all of their lives.
Purr Blurs: The message Larry delivers tells Patsy and her grandfather that they have been left a large estate. The huge, run down house has a reputation of being haunted, so when they arrive at night Patsy and her grandfather are afraid to enter. Larry enters and lights a lamp and entices the others to come in as well. As they shudder around the lamp, a black cat runs past them.
Later that night Patsy is cowering in bed. The outside of the house is shown briefly and the black cat is walking along the railing.
Final Mewsings: The cat would have said the house was haunted by these new people!
