Synopsis: Anime worlds collide when Lupin the 3rd (voiced by Kan’ichi Kurita) sets out to steal the Cherry Sapphire for mysterious purposes and has to elude super sleuth Conan Edogawa (voiced by Minami Takayama).

Cartoon Cat: After stealing the Cherry Sapphire, Lupin escapes from a large number of Tokyo policemen.  He uses Lupin masks which he throws on various people to confuse the officers.  One officer reports Lupin is sitting in front of a tobacco store.  We see an elderly man wearing the mask with a little gray cat on his lap.  The cat meows as the officer adds, “It may be a fake.”

Final Mewsings: Cats aren’t fooled by masks.
