Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Extremely dark comedy and disturbing violence mark this story about three teenagers being kept isolated from the rest of the world by their overly protective father and mother.

Kitty Carnage Warning!: We’ll start right off with it because there’s no way to adequately prepare one for the events of this movie, including the scene with the cat.  The son is doing cartwheels in the yard of the compound which the children have never left.  Suddenly he stops when he sees a tuxedo cat sitting nearby.

The two daughters watch from inside as the son creeps up on the cat with gardening shears.  He lunges at the cat, which tries to get away.

The cat is killed and its dead body is shown (we’ll spare you the screen grab).  The father uses this as an opportunity to teach the children a lesson, part of which is that cats are their mortal enemy.  Reportedly there is a disclaimer at the end of the movie saying no animals were actually harmed.

Final Mewsings: In this film it would appear that man is the mortal enemy of the cat, not vice versa.
