Cuckoo announces that Floxsie is the reincarnation of Tony’s late wife, Debra.

Cuckoo - Grandfather's Cat Cuckoo Andy Samberg deduces white Persian cat Floxsie is Debra

In order to prove the theory, Cuckoo sets up a test whereby the cat can choose to drink from one of two cups labeled “I am the spirit of dead Debra” and “I am just a nice white cat.”

Everyone, except Ken (Greg Davies), watches anxiously as Floxsie approaches the cups and drinks from the one saying she is Debra.

Ken is frustrated and goes upstairs where he catches his son Dylan (Tyger Drew-Honey) playing with Tony’s old Korean War rifle.  Ken promises to take Tony to the pub and as he waits for him to get ready he spots Floxsie running in the yard below.

Kitty Carnage Warning! Ken points the rifle at the cat and pretends to fire.  But of course he ends up pulling the trigger and shooting Floxsie.

The rest of the episode entails Ken hiding Floxsie’s body in a bag and trying to get rid of it.  The fact that the dead Floxsie is so obviously a fake makes the whole scenario palatable in a strictly dark comedy sense.
