Synopsis: Private Investigator Leslie C. Tucker (Michael Caine) is hired by a man running from goons to find his long-lost daughter in this spoof of gumshoe films.

Kitty Cameos: Two cats appear very briefly in this movie.  The first is a white cat which is seen being held by Ellen Prendergast (Natalie Wood) when Michael Caine finally tracks her down in the enormous Prendergast mansion.

The white cat has one blue eye and one green one.

Often Ellen is petting the cat, although it seems like actress Natalie Wood isn’t really doing it properly.

Ellen lets the cat walk away on the back of the couch as she and Tucker get up and leave the room.

They enter the bedroom of Ellen’s mother, Mrs. Prendergast (Dorothy Adams).  There is an orange cat laying on the elderly woman’s bed.

Final Mewsings: You can tell a lot about a person from the way they pet their cat.
