Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Darby O’Gill (Albert Sharpe) enjoys telling his fellow Irishmen about his adventures with the leprechauns but he has to think quick to outsmart their leader, King Brian (Jimmy O’Dea), with whom he occasionally matches wits.

Featured Feline: In one scene Darby has outwitted King Brian by keeping him up drinking all night so that in the daylight the leprechaun king has lost his powers.  An orange tabby cat named Ginger then appears in the window, much to King Brian’s terror.

The little puppet arm of King Brian is quite convincing from the leprechaun’s perspective.

The giant cat paw used for Ginger’s arm is not quite as convincing.

At last King Brian promises to grant Darby his wishes and Darby pulls the cat away.
