Synopsis: Gilbert Rolfe (Ron Silver) is a quiet accountant who sets out to grant the dying wish of his flamboyant mother (Anne Bancroft); that she could meet the elusive actress Greta Garbo.
Cat Cattle Call: During his quest to find Garbo, Gilbert pays a call on theatrical agent Sonya Apollinar (Dorothy Loudon). She is seen surrounded by hoarder-style piles of papers and effects in her apartment when Gilbert rings her bell. After talking to him she buzzes him in and then runs to throw on a robe. A white Persian cat can be sitting on the back of a couch.
Sonya runs to the couch to gather up the cat and it turns out there are three cats! She scoops them up in her arms and carries them to the bathroom where she locks them in.
Sonya then returns to the couch where she picks up yet another white Persian cat and drops it over the back of the furniture.
When Gilbert enters her apartment to talk we hear the cats in the bathroom fighting. Sonya gets up and kicks the door to quiet them. She later approaches a roll up desk and opens it, revealing two more cats sitting inside!
Final Mewsings: It’s kind of hard to hide the fact that you’re a crazy cat lady.
