John Webster goes on to talk about how when he writes plays they will be violent as he continues to dangle the mouse in front of the cat (John Webster would go on to be a famous playwright, noted for his bloody and gory works).  As Shakespeare walks away, the cat screeches, leaving one to wonder what John Webster did to the animal!
