Synopsis: Flavia Mills (Margaret O’Brien) is a clever little girl who is well-loved in her Tenth Avenue neighborhood in New York, but life deals her a series of blows when she realizes that little girls are not always told the truth about everything and that life isn’t all happiness and sunshine.

Kitty Cameo: Flavia believes her mother when she tells the girl that mice turn into money so her daughter won’t be afraid of them.  Flavia catches a mouse in a cigar box and takes it to an alley where she hopes to hide it away until the mouse changes.  As she walks into the alley she passes a cat sitting on a metal drum.
