Synopsis: Max Linder plans to get married but when he accidentally breaks a mirror he worries about having seven years of bad luck. He then attempts to avoid trouble only to find things getting worse and worse.
Kitty Cameo: Near the beginning of the film Max is sleeping off a bender the night before. As he is lying in bed some flies are crawling on his face. A black cat emerges from under the blankets and sees the flies.
The cat creeps towards Max’s face to investigate.
The cat starts licking Max’s lips. As Max slowly wakes up he realizes what the cat is doing and smirks in disgust.
After this Max wrestles playfully with the cat before his hangover makes him stop.
The cat can be seen in the background in Max’s bedroom during some of the next scene but is not seen again afterwards. It’s cute how they worked the adorable Frizotto (played by Pudgy the Dog) into the final scene but we wish the cat could have also been included!
Final Mewsings: Hangover or not, a cat will get in your face in the morning!
