Synopsis: A vaudeville house called The Palace has seen better days and so William Jenkins Sr. (Arthur Aylesworth) turns the management over to his young son (Tad Alexander) who arranges a kiddie revue to bring in the crowds.
Cat Burglars (Scene Stealers): At the beginning of this musical short film, William Jenkins Jr. encourages his dad to take a vacation while he takes a crack at saving the theater. The Senior Jenkins decides to go fishing. When he returns at the end of the short, he is carrying his fishing tackle and several fish. He is shocked at the lines outside the theater and goes inside to catch the end of the show. Junior then brings his dad onstage. Just as he is about to speak, we see several kittens have followed him on stage, but the camera cuts away from them.
Senior Jenkins is shocked when the audience starts to laugh at his speech, but Junior points out the kittens who are gathered around the man’s fish.
Jenkins Senior pulls the fish away, pulling one of the kittens along with the fish!
Final Mewsings: Kittens can steal the show, even from adorable children!
