Synopsis: Wilfred Simpson (Joe E. Brown) is a small-town guy who gets frustrated when his sweetheart falls for a suave bicycle trick rider.  He decides to show her up by leaving town and making something of himself and enters a six-day bicycle race.

Purr Blur: In an early scene where Wilfred happens to spot his sweetheart Phyllis (Maxine Doyle) with the trick cyclist (Gordon Westcott) in her home he goes to get his own bike to take off in a huff.  As he is about to ride off a black cat crosses his path.  Wilfred turns his bike around to ride in the opposite direction but forgets that his bicycle is tethered to a mailbox.
