Two Girls and a Sailor DVD

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM)
Starring:
June Allyson, Gloria DeHaven, Van Johnson
Directed by: Richard Thorpe

Synopsis: An all-star cast enriches the background of this story in which a singing sister act (June Allyson and Gloria DeHaven) set up a canteen for military men away from home with the aid of a mysterious benefactor, a rich young sailor (Van Johnson) who starts out wooing the younger sister but who ends up stealing the heart of the older sister.

Purr Blur: The girls are given the keys and deed to a warehouse they have been longing for to expand their canteen.  When they enter the dilapidated building they find it is full of old props from past vaudeville shows.  As they make their way through the creepy, dark interior a black cat leaps out from the shadows, jumping down from some boxes before running away.

Two Girls and a Sailor - black cat jumps out

Final Mewsings: We hope they didn’t get rid of the cat when they cleared out the warehouse!
