Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: The story of two classical musicians who reunite after ten years.  Peter (Zdenek Bezusek) is a member of a regional orchestra and returns to play a concert for his friend Bambas (Karel Blazek) who has stayed in their home town as a music instructor and part-time professional (playing funerals in exchange for the building materials for his house.)

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Peter arrives with his young girlfriend Stepa (Vera Kresadlová) who wanders around the home while the musicians are playing.  At one point we see her stalking a tiny white kitten outside.  The kitten peeks out from behind some building materials.

Stepa barks, trying to scare the kitten out.  But the kitten only mews.

We again see the musicians playing inside the house then hear Stepa calling for Peter from outside.  Unexpectedly she lifts up the little white kitten to the window, asking Peter if he sees it.  Peter continues to play and assures her he does.  She then lowers the kitten and we hear some strange noises, as if she is doing something with the construction materials.  The men stop playing and look at the window, wondering what she could possibly be doing.

A moment later she lifts up the kitten to reveal it is completely black!

Apparently she somehow managed to paint the kitten (either that or she found a black kitten somewhere as well to pull a joke.)

Final Mewsings: Black or white, kittens are adorable!
