Synopsis: Year two at Hogwart’s finds Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) hearing strange noises from within the school’s walls at the same time an unknown monster is roaming the halls petrifying unwary victims.
Kitty Cameo: Argus Filch’s (David Bradley) cat Mrs. Norris returns in this sequel and has an unfortunate part in the proceedings. We first see her in Filch’s arms when he catches Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) arriving late after their eventful drive in Mr. Weasley’s enchanted car.
Kitty Carnage Warning! Later Harry, Ron and Hermione (Emma Watson) come across Mrs. Norris in a corridor.
She is hanging by her tail from a sconce, completely petrified (but not dead.) She is the first victim of the unknown monster roaming the school.
At the end of the film we see a recovered Mrs. Norris in Filch’s arms once more at the final school banquet just as Hermione returns, also having been petrified and cured.
A beautiful Maine Coon showcat named Pebbles played the main role of Mrs. Norris throughout the Harry Potter films.
Final Mewsings: Cats make terrible wall decorations.
