Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this episode!

Synopsis: Liz (Wendi McLendon-Covey), distraught over the death of her pet cat Corny, decides to have a baby and begins to search for a sperm donor.  In the meantime, Timmy (Adhir Kalyan) tries to impress the new girl at work (Amy Gumenick) only to constantly come up second to the office stud Joe (Jason Dohring).

Kitty Cameo: Cats are mentioned several times in this episode.  In the beginning Liz is mourning her cat Corny (which Audrey and Jeff are startled to learn she is carrying around in her handbag.)  Corny’s death leaves her with only eight cats.  At the end of the episode she announces that Cotton, another of her cats, is having kittens.  These cats are never actually seen during these discussions.

The show’s other plot involving Timmy includes a running joke about him never finding love and ending up dying with his hand clenching his . . . ahem.  This all culminates in a hilarious scene at the end of the episode when Timmy dreams that he has died and everyone is paying their last respects over his open coffin, commenting on how he actually died the way they had predicted.  When Liz walks by she is carrying a white Persian cat with the most adorable and hilarious matching mourning hat on her head!  It’s very likely the cat seen is supposed to be the aforementioned Cotton.

Final Mewsings: Hats on cats are usually ridiculous but sometimes they just work.
