Later when The Ritz Brothers are on the scene, they go down into the cellar to investigate.  On their way down the darkened stairs they hear a cat screech and tell it to scat, but we don’t see the cat.  After encountering a real gorilla, they race upstairs and lead others to the cellar door to prove what they saw.  But when they open the door we just see the cat sitting calmly on the steps.

Final Mewsings: Cats are smaller than gorillas but in dark places can be just as scary!
