Starring: Oliver Hardy, Stan Laurel
Directed by: James Parrott
Synopsis: In this silent comedy short from the Hal Roach studio, Laurel and Hardy are hired by a mad Professor to dig up a corpse for him. The team dutifully make their way to a graveyard (unaware that the Professor is being carted off to the looney bin) and try to carry out their task despite the many scary things going on around them.
Purr Blur: At one point a black cat runs around the corner outside the cemetery and beneath Hardy’s legs, causing him to jump in fright.
The cat then turns the other corner and disappears. The cat actually looks like it’s half running, half being dragged through the scene, giving it an odd gait during its brief time onscreen.
Final Mewsings: You can drag a cat to a graveyard but you can’t make him run.
