Synopsis: Chester C. Cricket, Harry the Cat (both voiced by Les Tremayne) and Tucker the Mouse (voiced by Mel Blanc) find out that their forefathers all played important roles in the early stages of American Independence in this animated television special.

Featured Feline: The characters in this special first appeared in the television special entitled A Cricket in Times Square which aired in 1973 and was based on the original story by George Selden.  This was the third special to feature these characters.  Harry is an orange cat and is drawn in the instantly recognizable Chuck Jones style, as well as being eloquently voiced by Les Tremayne.

One of Harry’s parts in history is to help Thomas Jefferson write the Declaration of Independence when he recognizes the document which Tucker has drawn up to bring peace between cats and mice as just the thing Jefferson is seeking.
