Gadgets Galore (1955)

Warner Bros.
Narrated by
 Ward Wilson
Directed by: Robert Youngson

Synopsis: A humorous short film which explains itself as “A very little history of a very big event . . . the coming of the automobile.”

Purr Blur: Near the beginning scenes are shown to explain how promoters of the automobile used slide shows to tout the new invention, but that these demonstrations were often fraught with difficulties which cause unintentional humor, such as slides being inserted upside-down and a cat wandering in front of the projector and casting a huge shadow on the screen.
