Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some slight spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Not to be confused with the 1965 Terence Stamp film of the same name (which is excellent despite having no cats.)  An ex-con named Arkin (Josh Stewart) plans to rob the home where he is working as a contractor in order to get the money his wife needs to pay off a dangerous loan shark which may, in turn, target his daughter.  He breaks into the house, thinking the family is away on vacation.  Little does he know that another more dangerous criminal has already targeted the family and Arkin finds himself in the middle of a sadistic game of cat and mouse.

Kitty Cameo: Near the beginning of the film the family’s little girl (Karley Scott Collins) asks Arkin to play tea party with her.  In her room we see a beautiful black cat.

Kitty Carnage Warning! When Arkin is trying to find a way out of the house and avoid the many booby traps set up by The Collector, he stumbles into a room where the floor has been coated with a sticky, acidy substance.  Unfortunately the cat has been caught here and is seen suffering, then when Arkin tries to help the cat he only makes things worse.  Needless to say, the cat fares about as well as the people in this slasher film.

Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like getting caught up in the schemes of sadistic killers.
