Synopsis: Harold Fine (Peter Sellers) is a straight-laced lawyer in Los Angeles with a secretary turned fiancée named Joyce (Joyce Van Patten) and a brother (David Arkin) who has embraced the city’s hippie counter-culture.  Harold is embarrassed by his brother’s free-love spirit but becomes intrigued with a young flower child named Nancy (Leigh Taylor-Young), so much so that he throws off all of the conventions of his stodgy world and dives headfirst into a marijuana-laced lifestyle.

Kitty Cameo: When his apartment becomes infiltrated with countless hippies, Harold become disillusioned with Nancy and his situation.  His home is literally strewn with an odd assortment of druggies, drop outs and animals, including a parrot, a monkey and two dogs.  When Harold goes into his filthy kitchen he finds a cat sitting on the counter.  Later when his mother arrives she storms through the place trying to pick up after the deadbeats and is shocked to find the cat in the kitchen.
