Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Based on the story by Edgar Allan Poe. Guy Carrell (Ray Milland) is so obsessed with the fear of being buried alive it impacts his whole life.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): In one scene Guy is home with his wife Emily (Hazel Court), sister Kate (Heather Angel), Miles Archer (Richard Ney) and Emily’s father Dr. Gault (Alan Napier). Suddenly Miles hears a cat crying out. He becomes concerned and the others start to look for her. They soon realize she is trapped behind the wall. Miles manages to push back a panel and retrieve the fluffy long-haired tabby kitten.

All of this has an adverse reaction on Guy who points out the possibility of what would have happened if they hadn’t heard the kitten. This coincides with his fear of being buried alive.

Emily continues to hold the kitten throughout the scene in which Miles tries to convince Guy to visit the crypt where Guy believes his father had been buried alive. As they all head down to the crypt, Emily sets the cat aside on a chair.
