Synopsis: We see a day in the life of Maisie, a secretary who sets out to buy a new hat.

Cartoon Cat: At the end of the short as Maisie proudly walks down the street displaying her crazy new hat, she passes a black cat on a windowsill. The cat responds with shock and a hiss, then jumps inside and slams the window shut, peering out nervously.
