Synopsis: A bachelor Czechoslovakian musician named Louka (Zdenek Sverák) agrees to an arranged marriage for money and unexpectedly ends up caring for the woman’s son named Kolja (Andrey Khalimon).

Kitty Cameos: Louka’s gravedigger friend Broz (Ondrej Vetchý) is the one who suggests the arranged marriage to Louka. He is married with several kids and a menagerie of animals, including a black kitten.

Later in the film a speckled cat can be seen on top of the mynah bird’s cage.
