Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Film adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burrough’s novel in which the descendent of an English lord is raised by apes.

Purr Blur: At the beginning of the film, Lord John Clayton (Paul Geoffrey) and his wife (Cheryl Campbell) are preparing to leave. A little girl (who is Jane) is sitting on the steps playing with a mechanical monkey. She is picking up a Persian kitten.

She is petting the kitten in the next scene when her “Uncle Jack” gives her a ring, then picks her up and carries her away. She is still holding the kitten. The scene is very short and the kitten is never really facing the camera so it could be easy to miss.

Final Mewsings: If you’re going to include a kitten, at least have one good shot of the kitten!

Many thanks to Ted Davis for letting us know about the kitten in this movie.
