Synopsis: Privileged Elgar Enders (Beau Bridges) tries to escape his stifling upper class family by buying a tenement building in Brooklyn which he hopes to remodel. Instead he connects with the tenants in ways he didn’t expect.

Kitty Cameo: When Elgar tells his mother Joyce (Lee Grant) about his purchase, she is in a sunroom in the family home. A long-haired white cat is sitting off to one side.

Joyce approaches the cat and holds out her finger for the animal to smell.

She then picks up the cat from the table.

As she is scolded by her son she continues to hold the cat. However when the scene cuts to a wider shot the cat is suddenly no longer there and does not return.
