Synopsis: Based on the novel The Wages of Fear by Georges Arnaud. A group of fugitives take on a dangerous assignment to transport high explosives over a treacherous terrain.

Purr Blur: In one scene a local shows Victor Manzon (Bruno Cremer) to the home of a man who can provide fake passports. Inside the door a multi-colored cat is eating from a bowl.

The man must be a cat lover (or a fan of kitschy paintings) as he has a painting of three kittens and a parrot on his wall.
