Synopsis: Based on the popular books, Nancy Drew (Bonita Granville) sets out to find out the truth behind the sudden disappearance of a wealthy dowager.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At one point in the film Nancy and her friend Ted (Frankie Thomas) are searching through a basement. Nancy points out two shining eyes glowing at them from a cupboard.
Ted strikes a match and the scary eyes are revealed to belong to an adorable fuzzy gray and white kitten.
Nancy picks up the kitten and carries it with her throughout the rest of the scene. But when they later cut back to the basement the kitten is no longer there.
Final Mewsings: Good detectives don’t leave kittens in basements.
