Synopsis: Don Diego Vega (Tyrone Power) returns to California from Spain and finds a corrupt government has unseated his father and is taxing the people to death, so he dons a mask and seeks justice under the guise of Zorro.

Kitty Cameo: After arriving in California, Diego visits his former home to find the new ruler Don Luis Quintero (J. Edward Bromberg) and his family and underlings living there. In the courtyard the young and beautiful Lolita Quintero (Linda Darnell) picks up and plays with a small long-haired white cat.

Purr Blurs:  When Zorro first gallops into town he passes by two cats, one black and one gray, sitting on a nearby wall.

Finally as Don Luis witnesses something terrifying a black cat is on the wall below the railing. The cat jumps down as the man looks through the plants to get a better view.
