Starring:
 Julian Sands, Lori Singer
Directed by: Steve Miner

Synopsis: A wiley warlock (Julian Sands) escapes a death sentence in 17th century Boston by fleeing to the 20th century with Giles Redferne (Richard E. Grant), a witch hunter, in pursuit.

Purr Blurs: The very first shot of the film is of a man shoving a tabby cat with white markings into a basket. He then locks the basket, which is filled with the mewings of several cats, over to a woodpile where a fire is to be set for an execution. It is later explained that a warlock must be burned over a basket of cats. Why is never explained.

Later when the Warlock has reached the 20th century, a young woman named Kassandra is preparing to leave the room she rents in a house where violence has already taken place. She hears a noise and looks into the hallway where she sees a long-haired orange cat crossing from room to room. The presence of the cat is also never explained.

Final Mewsings: Let me get this straight … it’s the good guys who want to burn the cats??
