Synopsis: Mary Summers (Phyllis Thaxter) is a neurotic wife who hates being left alone for fear a recurring dream will come true.
Kitty Cameo: After being left alone when he husband goes on a business trip, Mary decides to call her parents in New York. She then hears a crash from the back hallway. Going to investigate she sees a smashed vase on a table and a pair of glowing eyes staring at her.
Mary shrieks and then turns on the light to find it is only a black cat.
“Oh you frightened me,” Mary laughs, “How did you get in here?”
She calls to the cat but it jumps down off the table and runs out through the open door, which Mary can now see has been broken into. In fact an intruder is standing just behind her.
Final Mewsings: You’re lucky if your intruder is only a cat.
