Synopsis: A young troubled girl named Rachel (Lindsay Lohan) is sent to live with her grandmother Georgia (Jane Fonda) by her exasperated mother Lilly (Felicity Huffman) which leads to the opening of wounds both old and new.

Kitty Cameos: Some of the action takes place in a veterinarian’s office. In one scene several owners and their animals are seen waiting, including a woman with a cat.

Later another woman (Sarah Lilly) is waiting with her cat when Lilly comes in to talk to Simon (Dermot Mulroney). When the woman hears what Lilly wants to talk about she insists she’s in no hurry, that the cat is just pregnant again.

Final Mewsings: Female cats have their troubles, too.
