Synopsis: A French musical about the intense love affair between a striking metalworker named François Guilbaud (Richard Berry) and an unhappily married society girl named Edith Leroyer (Dominique Sanda).

Kitty Cameo: When François and Edith first meet she is on the street and invites him up to her hotel room. As they enter the hotel, a woman (Monique Créteur) is seen pulling on a leash. She sings, “Come on, sweetie. It’s late.” As she stoops down to pick up the animal we see it is a white cat who is reluctantly at the end of the lead.

The woman holds up the cat and sings, “You should be in bed.” She hugs the cat and walks off screen.

Final Mewsings: You can lead a cat to a musical but you can’t make them sing.
