Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Katie (Barbra Streisand) is an outspoken communist sympathizer who falls in love with Hubbell (Robert Redford), an all-American boy, while they are in college but their political differences threaten to tear them apart.

Purr Blur: Later in their lives the couple have moved to Hollywood but continue to have problems. Katie seeks advice from Paula (Viveca Lindfors) at the woman’s home. While they talk in the kitchen, a tabby cat is eating something on the counter behind them. The cat is partially blocked in the first shot.

In another shot the cat is visible but the scene is very short and the cat has no interaction with the women.
