Synopsis: Michael Dunn (Andrew McCarthy) is the new student at St. Basil’s Boys’ Prep School where he contends with a sadistic teacher and bullying classmates while falling for the neighborhood diner girl Danni (Mary Stuart Masterson).
Purr Blur: Late in the film we see Danni reading aloud as she sits with her father (Jimmie Ray Weeks) at their kitchen table. A Maine Coon cat is sitting on the table between them.
Final Mewsings: Cats like to be read aloud to as well.
