The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

Directed by: Sergio Leone

Synopsis: The ultimate spaghetti western, this sprawling, epic shoot-em-up film is a classic. Blondie (Clint Eastwood) and Tuco (Eli Wallach) have a pretty good bounty scam going on, but the friends become enemies when Blondie two-times Tuco. Ultimately they learn about a stash of gold which brings them into the sights of the even more ruthless Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef) and alliances continually shift in the cat-and-mouse game between the three outlaws.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Right after Tuco’s notable bathtub scene (you know the one we mean!) we see Blondie sitting and holding a tabby and white kitten in his hat, commenting that he recognizes the sound of Tuco’s gun and that it’s perfect timing.

Final Mewsings: We prefer this cat in a hat to the Dr. Suess kind.
