Synopsis: Bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) is taking his latest catch, Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) in for a reward but is sidelined when he and several other questionable characters are stuck in a cabin during a blizzard.
Kitty Cameo: Late in the film there is a flashback to what had happened earlier in the day before Ruth’s arrival at the stopping place known as Minnie’s Haberdashery. During these establishing scenes an orange tabby cat is seen sitting on a barrel.
When bullets start flying the cat is no longer around, nor does he return for the rest of the film.
Final Mewsings: For once the cat is the only one that survives, apparently!
