Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains spoilers for this episode!

Synopsis: Shawn (James Roday) suspects that a string of suicides are the work of a serial killer so to gain access to the investigations he pretends to get psychic clues from the cat belonging to one of the victims.

Featured Feline: The calico-colored cat in this episode is referred to only as Little Boy Cat, although many fans have speculated online that it is actually a little girl cat (this is not mentioned in this episode but they may be referring to the calico coloring, which is more common for female cats).

Little Boy Cat belonged to a male victim whom the police assume committed suicide. Shawn improvises that the cat is a witness since he’s about to be booted from the crime scene. As a result, Shawn carries the cat around with him for a good portion of the episode. His partner and friend Gus (Dulé Hill) is skeptical about the ruse.
