Synopsis: A housewife named Ann Merriweather (Bethel Leslie) is almost killed by an unknown assailant in her home, leading to a series of strange occurrences.
Purr Blur: In the opening scene someone breaks into the Merriweather’s kitchen, turns on the gas and leaves. Ann is awakened by the sound of a cat meowing and then a loud clatter from the kitchen. She gets up to investigate and when she opens the door to the kitchen a tabby cat runs out.
The cat is only mentioned once more after this and not seen again. In fact the Merriweathers end up buying a dog for protection!
Final Mewsings: That’s no way to repay a cat for saving your life!
