Synopsis: Set in New Orleans, 1917. Violet (Brooke Shields) is the teenaged daughter of a brothel prostitute (Susan Sarandon) who strikes up a relationship with a photographer named Bellocq (Keith Carradine).
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At one point in the film Violet runs away from the brothel and turns up at the home of Bellocq. The next morning she wakes up to find a tabby cat eating off the tray of food Bellocq has left for her.
The cat then drinks from the glass of milk, which Violet takes to drink from then replaces. What’s cute is the cat keeps licking as if it thinks the milk is still at the same level.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t really understand the laws of physics.
