Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: Based on the book by Joseph Heller. The insanity of war is represented with gruesome dark humor as Capt. John Yossarian (Alan Arkin) tries to cope with the mounting insanity taking place around him.

Purr Blurs: Late in the film Yossarian goes to a whorehouse to tell the whore girlfriend of one of his fellow pilots about his demise. As he walks up the dark stairs several cats can be heard meowing. When he enters the once vibrant rooms he finds they are in a shambles and empty save for an old woman (Marcel Dalio). Sitting in the room, barely visible, is a tabby cat.
