Synopsis: Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson) gets an assignment to write an article about how to lose a guy in ten days but picks advertising man Ben Barry (Matthew McConaughey) as her target not realizing he has bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in ten days.
Cartoon Cat: A very quick snippet of the Tex Avery cartoon Ventriloquist Cat is seen when Andie and Ben are at the Knicks game.
Kitty Cameo: Near the end of the film Andie is in her friend Michelle’s (Kathryn Hahn) apartment, lying on the couch. She is petting an orange and white long-haired cat which is lying beside her.
There is a knock at the door and Michelle gets up, thinking it is Chinese food. The cat jumps down off the couch to follow her. The cat is not seen again.
Final Mewsings: Cats love Chinese take out.
