Synopsis: James West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin) try to protect a man who is to be crowned king from a villainous enemy whose mystique involves werewolves.
Kitty Cameo: At the beginning of the episode James enters an abandoned general store. He calls out asking if anyone is there when a black cat suddenly jumps down onto the counter. James spins, drawing his gun on the cat. Realizing it is a cat, Jim sighs, “Heck, you almost had eight lives.”
The cat steps forward and actually sniffs at the end of James’ gun.
A moment later a wolf howls. The cat hisses angrily.
Jim turns and looks back at the cat who is cowering. The cat does not return but throughout the episode James is repeatedly attacked by “wolves” who are actually just real and stuffed German Shepherds.
Final Mewsings: Even the cat thought the fake wolves were scary.
