Cat Out of the Bag Alert!  This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: After incurring the wrath of a zombie drug dealer, a group of teenage boys decide to fight fire with fire by making one of their own a good zombie to fight back.

Purr Blur: Near the beginning of the film the boys are approaching the house of a guy named Moon. As they reach the top of the steps, a cat can barely be seen running behind the house.

Kitty Cameo:  After turning into a zombie, Dan (Michael Rubin) stays in the storeroom of the soda shop doing odd jobs for the proprietor. In one scene he is seen sitting by a cat who is eating from a bowl. Dan then gets up and walks away.

Later in the film another segment of this shot is used again, this time showing zombie Dan setting down the bowl as the cat approaches and then petting the cat as it starts to eat.

Final Mewsings: Cats don’t mind zombies as long as they are fed!

Synopsis: Aaron Boone (Craig Sheffer) is a troubled young man being framed for murder who stumbles upon an underground enclave of monsters called Midian where he feels at home.

Purr Blur: At one point Boone’s girlfriend goes to Midian to look for him. When she wakes up from being unconscious, a tiny tabby kitten is seen nearby.

The kitten is beside the coffin where she is lying. It’s not really explained if the kitten is actually the little shape-shifting girl or just happens to be in the scene for some reason. But then not much is really explained in this movie.

Final Mewsings: If you have to wake up in a monster world, wake up to a kitten!

Synopsis: Kyle Braddock (Aaron Stanford) runs a solo protection program, providing witnesses with safe passage to Mexico, but things go awry when he falls for his latest passenger and finds himself the target of a killer.

Purr Blur: In one scene a car pulls up to a gate at night. As Kyle gets out and opens the gate, a long-haired cat appears out of nowhere and runs inside, pausing briefly as Kyle gets back into his car and pulls through. The cat casually just saunters away.
